Mr. William “Buddy” Lawson Mash, Jr., 75, of Bronwood, peacefully passed away while surrounded by his beloved family on Friday morning, September 12, 2025, at his home.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home in Leesburg.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2025, in the Bronwood Cemetery with military honors. Rev. Jeff Carter will officiate.
Born on August 11, 1950, in Pelham, Buddy was the son of the late William Lawson Mash, Sr. and Lurline Dunlap Mash. He served his country in the United States Army, worked for Anderson Magazine and the Cargill Peanut Company. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and working in his yard. He was Baptist by faith.
In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Mash; brother-in-law, Jerry Barber; and his good friend, Glenn Tanner.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Michelle Mash and Chris of Tifton, Buddy Wells Terry of Tifton, Misty Riddle and Randy of Leesburg, and Pamela Cantrell of Smithville; his sisters, Patricia Barber of Putney, and Gail Hoover and Raymond of Albany; grandchildren, Brianna, Christina, Zackary, Kourtney, Jack, Brittnie, Tyanna and James, Jacob and Jessica, and Gabriel; 4 great-grandchildren, Colt, Madilyn, Weston, and Asher; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
