Trevor Boone Washburn

Trevor Boone Washburn, 38, of Leesburg, Georgia died Friday, October 24, 2025, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. 

His memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 2:30 pm at Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home in Leesburg, GA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. 

Trevor was born in Albany, Ga. He attended Lee County High School and then went to work with his dad, “Uncle Ed” at Stallion Music. After his dad passed away, Trevor continued to run the music store for years. Most recently, he worked at Stewbo’s before he got sick.

His passion was music and he loved to play his guitar and sing. He had a beautiful voice just like his Mom and Dad. Before he got sick, he loved to jam with Marty Hubbard and his wife and friends.

Trevor was also a great fisherman. He loved to go bass fishing and truly enjoyed being with nature. He also loved to read and listen to all of the great Philosophers. He was so smart and had a deep analytical mind, just like his dad.

He had his struggles, but on Nov. 3rd, 2023, Trevor overcame these struggles and he considered this day his new birthday. He said he was done with his old life and ready to move towards a great new life ahead of him...and he did everything he could to make this happen.

He was preceded in death by his father, Uncle Ed (Norman Edwin) Washburn. 

Survivors include his mother, Joy Hudson Washburn of Leesburg; two brothers, that he loved so much, Thomas Paul Washburn and Taylor Zane Washburn both of Leesburg; his uncle, Frederick Washburn (Allyson) of Cummings; his aunts, Janet Merritt of Sylvester, Peggy Register (Robert) of Clarkesville, FL, Jane Washburn of Albany, Sandra Washburn of Americus, Beverly Ann McCollum of Leesburg, and Nancy Condos (Christ); and so many wonderful cousins.
