Timothy Leonard Benford

Mr. Timothy Leonard Benford, 79, of Sylvester, peacefully passed away on Monday evening, July 6, 2026, at his home.

Born on March 11, 1947, Mr. Benford was the son of the late Elvin Benford and Betty Wishon Weatherington. He served his country in the United States Army and worked for many years as an electrician. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was of the Christian faith and will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Caroline Johnson Benford; daughter, Meri Rae Mock and Chris of Marianna, FL; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Dalton; great-grandchildren, Piper and Roman; sister, Connie Layman and Marty of Palatka, FL; and his mother-in-law, Imogene Johonson of Albany.

In accordance with the wishes of Mr. Benford, the family is honoring his wishes for there to be no service.
