Sam P. Arthur

Mr. Sam P. Arthur, 90, of Leesburg peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Phoebe Sumter Hospital in Americus. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2019 in the Leesburg Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. Born September 7, 1928 in Shellman, GA, Mr. Arthur was the son of the late J.L. and Lillie Arthur. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and Air Force. He later went to work civil service at the Marine Base where he retired. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sara Ann Sanford Arthur. Survivors include his children, Sandy Arthur and his wife Tamara of New Mexico, and Brandy Arthur; 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Marie Arthur, Mary Brush, and Martha Bearden.
