Rita Jean Evans

Mrs. Rita Jean Evans, 71, of Leesburg, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, June 30, 2023.

Born May 21, 1951, in Chattanooga, TN, Mrs. Evans was the daughter of the late GW Walters and Betty Jean Chambers Walters. She was a loving and devoted homemaker and faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Mitchell County. More than anything she loved Jesus and her family and will be greatly missed until we meet again.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband, of 55 years, Tommy L. Evans of Leesburg; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph L. Evans and Kelcie of Frisco, TX; and 6 grandchildren that she dearly loved.

In accordance with the wishes of Mrs. Evans all services will be private.
