Richard Hayes

Mr. Richard Hayes, 57, of Albany, peacefully passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Willson Hospice House.

The family will host a memorial service at a later date.

Born April 28, 1968, in Albany, he was the son of the late James Hayes and Sybil Holley Hayes. After attending college, he went to work as a bakery manager which he did for many years. Richard was an outgoing guy and enjoyed baking and cooking. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his brothers, James Michael Hayes (Abby) of Maryland, and Ronald Hayes (Candy) of Lee County; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home was given the honor to serve the Hayes family.
