Patricia Markoski

Mrs. Patricia Markoski, 80, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, at home surrounded by her family.

Services will be private for the family only.

Born August 7, 1945, in Columbus, GA she was the daughter of the late Levi Blankenship and Myrtle Bentley Moore. Though she was born in Columbus, she grew up in Calhoun County. Patricia went to work as a bank teller and worked for over 23 years until her retirement from Security Bank. In her free time, she loved to sew and knit and enjoyed making blankets and coasters as gifts to give to family and friends. She was affectionately known as “Grandma” or “Aunt Pat” to many and was a mother figure to everyone. She will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Markoski, and her daughter, Sandra Reid.

Those left to cherish her memory include her grandchildren, Anthony Reid (Jessica Dayhuff), and Joseph Reid all of Leesburg; great grandchildren, Brayden Reid and Kaiva Reid; nieces and nephews, Richard Blankenship, Ronnie Blankenship, and Debra Edwards (Van); and a host of extended family members that loved her dearly.
