Mrs. Myric Bryan Hornbuckle, 72, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away at her home in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 28, 2025.

She was born on August 25, 1952, in LaGrange, GA to Mary Alice Holt Bryan and Henry Cermitt Bryan. She graduated from Tift County High School in 1970, and received her associate’s degree from ABAC and her bachelor’s from Georgia Southwestern University. She was a Christian wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend. She was a former music instructor and later taught adult education. She also loved to play the piano at church and volunteer. Myric served at several churches as a talented pianist and director of music. She was a highly talented artist painting oil portraits of all her grandchildren as well as many oil paintings and portraits for commission and art shows. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cross-country camping adventures, tending to her flower garden, driving her jeep and convertible, and attending PEO meetings with her friends. She was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church of Lee County where she played piano, sang in the choir, and taught Sunday School.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years Harry Alexander Hornbuckle, Jr. (Alex). She was very proud of her two children Harry Alexander Hornbuckle III (Zan) of Ashburn, VA and Stacey Hornbuckle McDaniel of Cumming, GA and their spouses, whom she considered her bonus children, Victoria Yawn Hornbuckle “Vickie” and Michael Lee McDaniel “Mike.” She was an incredible Nana to her 4 grandsons, Logan Reid McDaniel, Harry Alexander Hornbuckle IV (Alex), Grant Regan McDaniel, and Zachary Garett Hornbuckle (Zac). She is also survived by her siblings: Kermitt Bryan, Karlas Bryan, and Myra Bryan Sinclair.
