Mrs. Millicent Gaile Bartlett, 80, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 31, 2025, at her home with her beloved family at her side.
Services honoring her life will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home with her son, Minister Jason Bartlett and Minister Eddie Garcia officiating. The family will visit with friends one hour before the service beginning at 3:00 p.m.
Born on December 30, 1944, in Albany, Mrs. Bartlett was the daughter of the late Bruce Cannon and Millicent Wisner Cannon. She enjoyed cooking for her family and taking trips to the beach. Most important to her was her love for God and family. She was a member of Lee County Church of Christ. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend she will be greatly missed until we meet again in Heaven.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Clayton Scott Bartlett whom she would have been married to for 50 years on September 23rd. She is also survived by her children, Rhonda Milling and Charlie of Lee County, Cindy Tanner and Matt of Crestview, FL, Sandy Davis and Stacey of Newton, GA, and Minister Jason Bartlett and Lindsey of Springhill, TN; sisters, Cynthia and Jennifer; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
