Mr. Lucas Allen Norris, 22, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026, in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Love officiating. A visitation and viewing will be held one hour prior to the service from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Following the services the family invites guests to join them in sharing a meal in Lucas’s memory at Gypsy Nest Events, 426 Cordele Road, Albany, GA 31705. The family will also hold an additional celebration of life service at a later date.
Lucas was born October 16, 2003, in Albany to James Henry Norris and Theresia Annie Williams. His life was a testament to his strength and resilience as a warrior of Cystic Fibrosis. At the young age of 8 years old he underwent a double lung transplant and persevered through all of life’s obstacles with a smile still on his face. Lucas was a true fighter and the definition of a warrior.
In his free time, he loved working on cars, playing guitar, watching NASCAR, and was a huge fan of WWE wrestling. He loved to eat and enjoyed his weekly lunch dates to Riverfront in Leesburg with his grandpa. Lucas was the type of person you could count on and no matter what he was going through, he always showed up. You could always count on Lucas. He played a big part in his aunt’s event venue and enjoyed working different events at Gypsy Nest. A loving son, grandson, nephew, brother, cousin, and friend, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his Grampy, Michael O’Brien.
Those left to cherish his memory include his maternal grandparents, Paul Williams Sr. of Leesburg, and Connie Williams of Albany; paternal grandmother, Patricia O’Brien of Leesburg; little brother, Isaiah Malachi Williams of Leesburg; aunt, April Summerlin (Shawn) of Leesburg; Uncle, Paul Williams Jr. (Melanie) of Leesburg; and a host of extended family members and friends that loved him dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Lucas’s memory at 4550 Montgomery Ave. Suite 1100 N, Bethesda, MD 20814.
Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home of Leesburg was given the honor to serve Lucas's family.
