Kevin Boyd Hawes

Mr. Kevin Boyd Hawes, 67, of Leesburg, tragically passed away from an accident on Monday, September 1, 2025, in Leesburg. 

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 6:45 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church of Lee County with Rev. Mark Spraggins officiating. Celebrate Recovery will meet at the Church at 6:00 p.m. The family will visit with friends following the service. 

Born May 31, 1958, in Geneva, OH, Kevin served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as a maintenance technician for many years, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking. He also loved animals, but most important to him was God and family. A loving son, brother, uncle and friend he will be greatly missed. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Boyd Hawes, and his brother, Rev. Wesley Jay Hawes. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Judith Speece Hawes of Circleville, OH; his siblings, Kirk A. Hawes (twin brother) and Cindy of Leesburg, GA, Jeff Hawes and Mary of Metairie, LA, Annisa Hawes Dudas and Lindsay of Circleville, OH; his fiancé, Susan Metzler of Circleville, OH; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
