Kenneth Richard Anderson

Mr. Kenneth Richard Anderson, 77, of Mount Sterling, KY, suddenly passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2023, while visiting family in Lee County.

The family will host a memorial service honoring his life at a later date.

Born December 13, 1946, in Lansing, Michigan, he was the son of the late Willis J. Wood and Claire Mae Booye Anderson. Mr. Anderson proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps and later earned his master’s degree and went to work as an electronics technician. He worked for several different companies throughout his career including Eagan McAllister Associates and most recently Weapons Simulation Department. He was a huge fan of technology and anything relating to it. In his free time, he enjoyed programming, building trains, watching movies, and was known as a talented artist who loved to paint. He also had a gift of making others laugh by telling the corniest jokes ever. Ken had a quiet yet gentle soul who loved his family dearly and was affectionately known by his grandchildren as Papa and Big Papa. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother who will be greatly missed by all.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 48 years, Dominica Anderson; and his brother, Gary Anderson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his 3 children, Anna Marie Green of Lexington, KY, Rick Anderson of Elizabeth City, NC, and Monica Pate and her husband Michael of Leesburg, GA; grandchildren, Alexis Green, Noelani Deiulio, and Christian Michael Pate; great grandchildren, Brayden Saunders, Ville Ryan Faircloth, and Jaxton Alexi Faircloth; and his siblings, Barry Anderson, Cheryl Anderson, Janice Thomas, Lynn Huntsberger, Kathy Settle, and Steven Anderson.
