Mr. Weaver was born May 3, 1938, in Pineville, West Viriginia to the late Verla Weaver. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force where he retired after 20 years of faithful and honorable service. After his time in the service, he worked for 8 years mining salt under Lake Erie and later went to work civil service at the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany where he retired again. Jim enjoyed watching old westerns, NASCAR, and was always laughing and making others laugh. He was a faithful member of Westview Baptist Church of Albany. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, he will be greatly missed by all.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Helen Weaver of Albany; three sons, Tim Weaver and Rita of Springfield, OH, Terry Weaver and Missy of Orlando, FL; and Tony Weaver of Albany; grandchildren, Erica, T.J., Travis, Chris and his wife Jessie, Danielle, and Chris; eight great grandchildren, Emma, James, Lucas, Chase, Brayden, Alyssa, Tyson, and Alex; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
