Iris Newell King

Mrs. Iris Newell King, 74, of Albany, peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Willson Hospice House.

Born on September 8, 1952, in Leesburg, Iris was the daughter of the late Elvis and Eloise Fowler Newell. She worked in retail for many years as a sales manager. Iris loved ice cream and enjoyed sewing and reading. She had the sweetest soul, biggest heart and was always positive. She was of the Christian faith and will be greatly missed.

She was a loving and devoted MEME to Amber Oliver and Tyler of Leesburg and Justin Young of Athens.

In accordance with her wishes no service will be held.
