Gloria Deal Milner

Mrs. Gloria Deal Milner, 82, of Dawson, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at her home.

Born on March 15, 1943, in Dawson, Gloria was the daughter of the late ZR Deal and Mae Blackman Deal. She was a loving and caring homemaker who loved her family well. She enjoyed baking cakes and cooking for her family, especially around the holidays. She was a member of Graves Methodist Church for many years and will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her son, John M. Stokes; her husband, Ned K. Milner; and 3 brothers, Frankie Mobley, Thurman Jernigan, and Billy Deal.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Suzanne Hooks and Terry of Dawson; sisters, Dorothy D. Bruce and Charles of Dawson, and Carolyn D. Penny of Dawson; grandson, Terry Michael Hooks, Jr. of Dawson; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Services honoring her life will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery at a later date to be determined.
