Edward Joe Walker

Mr. Edward Joe Walker, 56, of Valdosta and formally of Putney, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, at his home.

Services honoring his life will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Bethel Holiness Tabernacle with Pastor Noah Phillips officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service.

Born August 17, 1969, in Moultrie, Ed worked for several years as a glazer in the glass industry. He was formally a minister in the Holiness faith and attended Bethel Holiness Tabernacle of Putney until he moved to Valdosta. He enjoyed fishing on the river, swimming and loved his dog, Cinnamon.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Watson Walker and his brother-in-law, Ronald Castleberry. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 35 years, Lisa Kelly Walker of Valdosta; his father, Johnnie Walker of Moultrie; sister, Mary Walker of Moultrie; mother-in-law, Rebecca Williams of Valdosta; sisters-in-law, Tracy Moore (Vernon) of Valdosta, Tami Castleberry of Fort Valley, and Toni Bradford of Valdosta.
