Edgar Aaron Ackley

Mr. Edgar Aaron Ackley, 92, of Albany, peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

Born on June 29, 1934, in Hopewell, KS, Mr. Ackley was the son of the late George Ackley and Pearl Vanarsdale Ackley. He served his country in the United States Air Force and owned and operated Ed’s T.V. and Appliance for several years. Ed also retired from Tara Foods and loved farming. He greatly loved making numerous red, white and blue hats for the Kids Snowball Express and was a talented wood craftsman. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several siblings.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Laura Rowe Ackley; son and daughter-in-law, Lavon and Rita Ackley; daughter, Lynn Ackley; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In accordance with the wishes of Mr. Ackley his remains will be cremated, and a military service of honor will be held at Andersonville National Cemetery at a later date to be determined.
