Charles Benny Thomas

Mr. Charles Benny Thomas, 76, of Leesburg, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023.

Services honoring his life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 5, 2023, in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home. His nephew, Eric Thomas will officiate, and the family will visit with friends following the service at the funeral home.

Born October 16, 1946, in Dawson, Mr. Thomas was the son of the late William E. Thomas and Lelia Mae Stokes Thomas. He worked for many years as a lineman and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his beloved family. Ben was an avid Alabama Football fan and was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include his wife, Paris Thomas of Leesburg; children, Benjamin Thomas of Leesburg, and Andy Thomas and Brenda of Headland, AL; brother, William Thomas, Jr. and Rhonda of Lexington, N.C.; 3 grandchildren, Katherine, Elizabeth, and Gracie; nephews, Eric, Patrick, and Ryan; and niece, Kensi.
