Mr. Billy Frank Worrell, 85, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at his home.
Services honoring his life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Philema Road Baptist Church with Pastor Aaron McCulley and Rev. Bruce Smith officiating. Military honors will be presented. The family will visit with friends following the service.
Born October 12, 1939, in Houston County, AL, Mr. Worrell was the son of the late Beachum and Madeleine Scott Worrell. After graduation he served his country in the United States Navy and obtained a PhD in health care. He worked for several years as a registered respiratory therapist and was an administrator of two different nursing homes. He enjoyed working with wood and could build most anything. He also greatly enjoyed reading and writing and attended Philema Road Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 35 years, Faye Worrell of Leesburg; daughter, Nikki Carparco and John of Texas; stepchildren, Robert Williams Jr., Aaron Craig Williams, and Bryan Keith Williams; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Ronny Wells and several other brothers; sister, Kay Johnson and several other sisters.
