Archie Lamar Newman, Jr.

Mr. Archie Lamar Newman, Jr., age 77, peacefully passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, at his home in Leesburg.

Born on August 8, 1948, in Augusta, Georgia, Archie was the son of Archie and Virginia Miller Newman, Sr. He served 5 years in the National Guard. Afterwards, he worked for Cooper Tire for 18 years and Miller Coors for 17 years. He was an avid hunter who cherished his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchild and loved the Lord. He was of the Baptist faith and will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 23 years, Rose Newman of Leesburg; his son, Archie L. “Marty” Newman, III and Sally of Scranton, SC.; his daughter, Monica Hardin and Andy of Wilmor, Kentucky; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A family service will be planned at a later date in November.
