Sgt. First Class, Jerry Morris Pearlman, Army (Ret.)

Sgt. First Class, Jerry Morris Pearlman, Army (Ret.), 80, of Leesburg, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at home while surrounded by family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Friendship Baptist Church of Leesburg with visitation one hour prior from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Rev. Mark Spraggins will officiate, and military honors will be presented.

Mr. Pearlman was born on September 20, 1943, in Charleston, S.C., to the late Milton and Robbie Rachels Pearlman. He proudly served our country in The United States Army National Guard for 25 honorable years and owned and operated Albany Vacuum Repair and Sales for 34 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Albany and attended Friendship Baptist Church of Leesburg with family. He loved fishing, hunting, and being outdoors, but most of all he loved and adored his grandkids. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and the greatest joys in his life were loving and watching his grandkids grow up and being with his many dogs. Mr. Pearlman will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dave Pearlman; ex-wife, Ellen Pearlman; and son-in-law, Trey Rycroft.

Survivors include his daughter, Katie Rycroft of Leesburg; his son, Michael Pearlman (Ciara) of Leesburg; grandchildren, Cameron Rycroft, Hunter Rycroft (Janie), Caydin Drawdy, and Knox Pearlman and Lenox Pearlman; great-grandchildren, Fisher, and Riverlynn Rycroft; brother’s-in-law, Sebron Williams and Dr. Larry Solberg of Jacksonville, FL; sister’s-in-law, Sharon Williams and Kathy Solberg of Jacksonville, FL; and niece, Ivy Pearlman.
