Melissa Lynne Arevalo

Melissa Lynne Arevalo, 47, of Leesburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at her home.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 9, 2024, in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home.

The family will visit with friends following the service.

Born on October 9, 1976, in Albany, Melissa worked as a caregiver for several years and always enjoyed doing for others. She was of the Christian faith and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Darrell Grizzard and her stepfather, Robert Barber.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two children, Alexander Arevalo and Alyssia Kendall both of Leesburg; her mother, Cheryl Clark Barber of Leesburg, boyfriend, Luis Vanga of Leesburg; siblings, Tonya Gaskin of Tifton, Richard Grizzard of Columbus, and Billie Jean Poole and Trent of Ball Ground; and her 3 grandchildren, Adriel, Ahlani, and Avah.
